gallery > sculpture/conception

My paper jewelry emerged directly from sculpture experiments.

In April 2003, I was commissioned to produce two large sculptures for the Macalester College Psychology Department. These sculptures were to be floating 100 meters off the floor, suspended in an atrium on the third floor of the Olin Rice Science Building.

Determined to create sculptural forms that engaged light and color, I decided to incorporate my obsession, handmade paper.
